As the sun rises late and sets very early here in Sweden, some days can be a little bit of a struggle and it’s hard to get your body clock ready for the change. It can get a little confusing when just after 3pm it’s dark and your body thinks it’s bed time. So how do you keep yourself awake and active when all you want to do is sleep? Most people probably have their own way for dealing with it like light therapies, exercise or coffee but for me I’m a little strange and when I’m feeling sleepy and a little put off by the lack of daylight, I like to find wonderfully inspiration images to keep me happy and awake. So with a small window left of daylight for the day, here’s what’s inspiring me today. Todays images are focused on houses, mainly because I can’t wait for us to get out of our tiny little apartment and into our first home so I can’t help but dream, plan and ponder about what our home might look like one day, but for now here’s a little sampling of what I”m loving.
Who wouldn’t want these huge gorgeous windows. Even though the windows are full height, the room still has a cosiness thanks to the warm materials throughout.
As you can probably tell by looking at our yellow and grey branding, I have quite a big thing for the colour yellow especially when it’s mixed with a dark grey, black or navy blue, so this room really hits the spot. I love that stripped ceiling.
Don’t you just want to have a romantic dinner for two or a casual get together with friends out there on a warm summers night? I love that instead of the usual plastic furniture seen outdoors, this has a warm inviting and very homely feel to it.
A fantastic kitchen and a great way to take a country style without it being to country looking. The bright blue tiles add colour, texture and a modern flare.
What a great way to add some oomph to your staircase.
Bright, sunny, homely, inviting, this room to me as some great elements especially with the picnic style table.
What do you think? Do you have a way to overcome big changes in light? Do you have any images the inspire you?
